Zinc Oxide - The broadest spectrum UVA and UVB absorber approved for use as a sunscreen by the FDA completely photo-stable; protects, soothes, and heals skin. Additionally, Zinc Oxide has antimicrobial and antifungal activities and is used to treat or prevent minor skin irritations such as burns.
Glyceryl Stearate – A derivative from soy oil which acts as an emulsifier and humectant.
Porphyra Umbilicalis (Red Algae) Extract – The mycosporine-like amino acids (MMA) extracted from red algae; protects against premature aging and photo aging induced by UVA irradiation.
Hedychium Coronarium (White Ginger) Root Extract – White Ginger is the rhizome of Zingiber Officinale and is a well known anti-inflammatory agent.
Camellia Sinesis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract – Provides potent antioxidant support.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder – Soothing and healing, Aloe Vera relieves pain inflammation. A botanical plant that refreshes skin while acting as a humectants and emollient.
Bisabolol (L-Alpha) – Bisabolol is a natural sesquiterpene alcohol from chamomile and is well known for its antiinflammatory properties. Studies have shown the synergy of White Ginger and Bisabolol extracts inhibit increased levels of interlukin and prostaglandin E. This occurs when the skin barrier is disrupted and skin irritations develop. This complex is anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory.
Tetrahydrocurcuminoids (Tetrahydrodemethoxydiferuloylmethane,Tetrahydrobisdemethoxy-diferuloyl methane,Tetrahydrodiferuloylmethane) – Known collectively as Tetrahydrocurcuminoids these ingredients are derived from curcuminoids - extracted from the roots of Curcuma longa, commonly called Turmeric root. They are highly potent antioxidants that efficiently quench free radicals on the surface of the skin. Overall, Tetrahydrocurcuminoids, offer protection to the skin against damage due to the ultraviolet radiation as well as to the product itself against rancidity of the fat components used in the formulation. Also provides anti-inflammatory and skin-lightening action.
