Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride – Made from coconut oil; slows the loss of water from the skin by forming a barrier on the skin’s surface. Commonly used as an emollient for calming and softening the skin without aggravating sensitive skins; an effective dispersing agent and useful as a solvent for vitamins and actives.
Bellis Perennis (Daisy) Flower Extract – A highly gentle, yet efficient natural skin lightener that influences different pathways involved in melanin formation, counteracting age spots and balancing hyperpigmentation; decreases tyrosinase synthesis and reduces melanin production in the melanosomes.
Octadecenedioc Acid – A naturally derived brightening agent derived from bio-fermentation of natural plant oleic acid; helps even skin tone, reduce blotchiness, control blemishes and improve the overall radiance of skin.
Ethoxydiglycol / Hydroxycinnamic Acid Complex – Ethoxydiglycol, also known as diethylene glycol monethyl ether, is commonly used as a cosmetic grade solvent and acts as an excellent carrier in skin care products. Hydroxycinnamic acid is a class of phenolic acid, a derivative of cinnamic acid, that can be found naturally in plants such as aloe. A natural skin lightener with antioxidant properties shown to brighten the skin more quickly than Kojic Acid; nonirritating, anti-mutagenic, and significantly reduces skin redness.
Alpha-Arbutin – A pure, water soluble, biosynthetic active ingredient; promotes lightening and evens skin tone on all skin types; blocks tyrosinase activity and inhibits melanogenesis to minimize liver spots and reduce the degree of skin tanning after UV exposure.
Kojic Acid – Produced from several species of fungi and a by-product in the fermentation process of malting rice; a chelating agent that acts as a mild inhibitor in the pigment formation of plant and animal tissues; lightens skin and treats skin diseases like melasma.
Lactic Acid (L) – A gentle AHA exfoliant also known as milk acid; noted for its rich moisturizing attributes and ability to exfoliate dead skin cells without provoking skin irritation. An excellent option for sensitive skin types, this hydrating and rejuvenating AHA increases desquamation and evenly thins the stratum corneum.
Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate – A vitamin C and ascorbic acid derivative from citrus fruits; promotes collagen formation, brightens skin tone, contains skin-whitening abilities and powerful antioxidants, and helps prevent hyperpigmentation and senile keratosis.
Porphyra Umbilicalis (Red Algae) Extract – A sea algae with natural UVA filters that protect the skin against photoaging and premature aging; a rich source of proteins, vitamins and minerals.
Sodium Lactate – The sodium salt of lactic acid produced by the fermentation of a sugar source such as corn or beets; contains broad antimicrobial action.
Lecithin – A mixture of various phospholipids from soybean oil with emulsification and lubricant properties; a superior surfactant and stabilizing agent that helps with encapsulation.
Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) – Gama-aminobutyric acid, commonly called GABA, is an amino acid that acts as a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. The body manufactures its own supply by combining glucose with the amino acid glutamine and seems to work as a natural calming agent in the brain and body; aids in wrinkle reduction and removal by relaxing facial muscles; reduces free radicals, stress and inflammation-induced pigmentation, contains antioxidant benefits, and inhibits tyrosinase activity.
Diacetyl Boldine – From the bark of the Chilean Boldo tree; a skin brightening agent which inhibits tyrosinase activity and decreases melanin activity, blocking stress receptors and inhibiting the body’s melanin production (skin pigmentation); a potent antioxidant that evens skin tone to combat hyperpigmentation, age spots, and melasma.
Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil – The fruit oil, or Oleuropein, is a natural wide-spectrum antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal compound and generally found in products for acne care and wound healing; contains unsaturated fatty acids, polyphenols, vitamin E, tocopherols and squalene that together help soften and moisturize skin and provides healthy essential fatty acids for tissue strength and cellular energy.
Tocopheryl Acetate (D-Alpha) – A common form of vitamin E; a powerful antioxidant with the ability to increase the moisture in the skin’s horny layer and improve surface relief; protects skin against ultraviolet damage.
Althaea Officinallis (Marshmallow) Root Extract – Contains a variety of compounds including ferulic acid, kaempferol, and quercetin; an antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals (superoxide, nitric oxide and hydroxyl radical) and helps to prevent damage to cells caused by UV light; contains anti-inflammatory and skin lightening properties.
Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract – Extracted by steam distillation from the dried fruit seeds; provides anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects and is often used in skin care to treat dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, and rashes; provides antiseptic, vasodilatory, and purifying actions.

RECOMMENDED USE

Apply to clean, dry skin night and day. Follow with Daytime Defense SPF30 when used during the day. For nighttime, apply appropriate corrective and follow with Brightening Cream Enhanced.
