FOCUS INGREDIENTS
Mandelic Acid (L) – An alpha-hydroxy-benzeneacetic acid found in almonds (“mandels” in German), it is not as acidic as pyruvic acid but strong enough for good rejuvenation. Long used as an antiseptic because of its antibacterial activity, this acid is beneficial in the treatment of skin problems such as photo aging, irregular pigmentation and acne. Arginine (L) – One of the 20 main amino acids and present in most proteins; accelerates wound healing, promotes collagen synthesis and increased skin elasticity. Most L-arginine is created by fermentation from plant proteins such as almonds, walnuts and legumes.
Phytic Acid – Natural antioxidant, extracted from cereals such as wheat and rice, has a powerful chelating effect on iron which, when free, can wreak havoc on cells.
Pyruvic Acid – Produced from dry distillation of racemic acid, originally derived from grapes; not an alpha hydroxy acid but a keto-acid, a relatively potent acid that metabolizes rapidly after working hard in a peel. Part of the Krebs cycle of respiration.

RECOMMENDED USE
Apply to skin nightly after thorough cleansing. May be used during the day. Layer over Essential Spot Rx for acne conditions or under Stem Cell A for photo-aged skin.
